Transatlantic Day 12

The wind died on us today. Instead of the 15-17 knots we’ve been seeing for the last few days it dropped to 8-10 and even lower than that at times. The waves didn’t die down. They did eventually but not too soon. With the main sail flogging and the boom banging we packed it away and unfurled the genoa. I would have used the gennaker but it’s ripped.

We did have a delicious lunch and dinner; a bacon and potato spanish dish and french legume soup.

We’ve closed the gap with Sarayu but they are still 30 miles ahead of us. Down from 50 at one point.
