I woke up to find the yacht Belavita off our port side. They didn’t have AIS, or it wasn’t on, so we had a quick exchange over the radio and we realised we were on the same pontoon in Cape Verde. They left the day after us but being a longer boat with 2 masts, an Amel Super Maramu they were able to close the gap and go much faster. When I saw them they had all 3 sails up, slightly furled.
The skies were clear and the water warm. And not a whole lot happened this day.
